A Story of The Pen Guardian Angel
|
|
Ken and his family enjoyed a day at the stadium on
March 31st, watching the Nationals face the Orioles.
One of Bertram's Inkwell’s employees, Henry Parker,
was also at the game, and joined Ken’s family in their
section mid-game.
Henry takes public transportation so he left 30
minutes before the end of the game. As a die-hard
National's fan, Ken stayed at RFK until the end.
After the game, Ken and his family walked 10 minutes
to the subway. As they neared the subway, Ken
noticed a pen on the ground. He picked it up and
noticed that it was a Krone Think Pen. Ken put the
pen in his pocket and continued on toward the
subway station. It occurred to him to look more
closely at the pen. When he opened the it, he found
a double-broad ballpoint refill. He knew that the pen
could only have come from Betram's Inkwell.
He called Henry to ask if he had a pen on him at the
game. Henry replied, "Yes, I have a Krone Think...My
Pen!! Where is it?"
Ken answered. "I have it! I found your pen by the
subway!"
The remarkable thing is that in the 30-45 minutes
between Henry's and Ken's walk to the subway, an
estimated 5000 people must have passed that very
same spot where Ken found the pen. No one noticed
or picked it up.
The pen guardian angels were looking out for Henry
that day!
This is a true story. Ken admits that while this is an
amazing story, he cannot guarantee that he will find
anyone else's pen.
